The story
Banana plants are harvested for fruit once and then, conventionally, uprooted. We work with growers in the Vazhappuzha cluster who keep the pseudostem fibre, ret it by hand and spin it on traditional equipment.
The nesting set is cut for small kitchens: the largest holds about 11 litres, and the two smaller ones sit inside it when not in use.
